  • AboutWhat is the Globetrotters Club? We are a travel club and a not for profit organisation, run by volunteers. The aim behind Globetrotters is to provide a way for like minded people to meet or communicate to exchange ideas, information and experiences. A key feature to the club is that all Globetrotter members have the opportunity of being listed in the annual membership listing. This allows Globetrotter members to indicate whether they can offer fellow Globetrotters hospitality in their locality, or offer to show visitors around and some are willing to answer questions about their area. The club is aimed at independent travellers and is not allied to any commercial enterprise and does not act as a travel agent. Moreover, the Globetrotters club does not issue the membership list to anyone who is not a member of the club, nor is the listing to be used for commercial gain.

    • Frequently Asked Questions.Q. Why is it worth joining the club as an independent female traveller on a budget? A. Joining the club allows you to contact other members who have travelled recently to areas you are interested in and also as the emphasis of the club is on travel by independent means, i.e. getting there on your own without the aid of a tour or a travel agent (except to buy a plane ticket), you are sure to find a wealth of advice experience and inspiration from other members both male and female Q. A few years ago when I was a member, members received a list of other members only from the same area. For example I received only List 4 â€â€ USA, Canada, Latin America u0026#038; The Caribbean. Is this still true or is there a single consolidated list of members which goes out to all members? A. Yes, There is now a single consolidated list of members this goes out to all members annually. Q. What are your criteria for membership? A. We donâ€â„¢t have any criteria anyone can join as long as they pay the membership fee. Some travel clubs require that members spend a minimum period travelling, etc, we do not. Q. What are…
