Submit your favourite photos for publication in the Globetrotters 2016 calendar.

Whether you’re a budding photographer or a pro, the club is putting out a call for contributions for our annual printed calendar, to be sent out to all current members in December 2015. Celebrating our favourite places, images and trips, the top 12 photos will represent each month of the year.

For the chance to have your photo featured in the Globetrotters calendar, send your entry to: <a href="mailto:Calendar@globetrotters.co.uk?subject=Calendar+2016&body=Name++%0D%0AMembership+number:+%0D%0AExpiry:+%0D%0ACaptions%0D%0A%0D%0A”>calendar@globetrotters.co.uk with up to three photos attached as digital high resolution JPEG files.

Please mark the subject of the email as “calendar 2016” and include the following information in the body of the email: Your name, your membership number and a title/caption for each image to explain where and when it was taken.

Please send landscape rather than portrait photos, with each image being a minimum of 2,400 pixels on the longest side. Images need to be suitable for the format of the calendar which is a 3:4 aspect ratio and may be cropped to fit this.

Every member will receive a free calendar as part of their annual membership, and additional calendars may be purchased by members and non-members for cost price plus postage or collected at a Club meeting.

Any member whose image is featured in the calendar will receive an extra complimentary copy.

The closing date for entries is the 1st August 2015 at 23:59 BST.

The committee eagerly await your travel image and caption submissions.

Rules, terms and conditions

1. Entrants must be current club members.
2. Members may send a maximum of three images per entry.
3. Please ensure that your membership is valid when making your submissions and on the closing date of August 1st as it will need to be verified.
4. Please also ensure that it remains paid up until at least December 2015 as calendars will be sent out direct from the printers using a list of current members.
5. Pictures that were entered last year but were not chosen may be resubmitted but we would prefer to see something new!
6. Photos must be of sufficient technical quality to print at the required size.
7. There is no limit on when the pictures were taken, the photos do not need to be recent.
8. Photos will only be used by the Globetrotters Club for the purposes of the calendar, website, social media, Globe and the eNewsletter.
9. The Club reserves the right to reproduce pictures submitted for the calendar either in print or online. However, the Club will not sell any pictures on to a third party.
10. Pictures submitted remain the copyright of the photographer.
11. All images will be credited wherever possible. Pictures may be edited to suit design requirements, though we will endeavour to retain the photographer’s original composition as much as possible.
12. Joint members – resident at the same address – may enter individually. (If you do not both have membership cards please contact the membership secretary.)
13. All submissions must be the member’s own work. Please make sure that you’re the image owner and have full rights on the picture.
14. By entering, members will be deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
